S&T Project 19266 Data: Side Channel Data
Data includes a spreadsheet of side channel attributes and corresponding files for each year and each river of side channel delineation. Side channels were manually delineated by viewing aerial imagery. Data are included for the Middle Rio Grande, Sacramento River, and Trinity River between 1935 and 2012. Example attributes include top width, length, cause of formation, classification, planform location, inlet angle, and outlet angle. The presence of side channels and their attributes were used to analyze formation, evolution, and persistence as documented in the project report.
