S&T Project 22050 Code and Data: Climate Conditioned Analog Local Meteorology (CCALM)

This file upload holds notebooks, scripts and datasets related to seasonal forecasting for the Sacramento River Basin as part of a project to improve the meteorological inputs for water temperature predictions. Inputs include historical and future climate forecast prediction of monthly terciles of above normal, below normal, and near normal temperature. Scripts automate the gathering and processing of input data from the NOAA Climate Prediction Center to generate a complete hourly time-series input for modeling purposes. Processed data series are generated based on user selected historical percentile exceedances which maps monthly historical analogs to create a continuous year of meteorological data.
