Location Description Hungry Horse Dam is 564 feet high and has a variable-thickness concrete arch structure. The spillway is the highest morning-glory structure in the world. Hungry Horse Dam and Powerplant are located approximately 9 miles southeast of Columbia Falls, Montana and are on the South Fork of the Flathead River.
