S&T Project 22044 Final Report: Improved Processing and Analysis of Data from Rotating Machines

The Bureau of Reclamation's Technical Service Center has advanced methods for processing and analyzing data from rotating machines to support the shift from time-based to condition-based maintenance. This project focused on developing software tools to analyze large datasets and historical Direct Current Ramp (DCR) test data. Key outcomes include enhancements to the Machine Condition Monitor v2 (MCM2) suite by improving data import, reduction, and analysis, and the creation of a dedicated application and database for storing, plotting, and evaluating ramp test results. These tools help process data to establish a foundation for more accurate equipment health monitoring and efficient maintenance planning across Reclamation’s rotating equipment fleet.
