The water is conveyed from the reservoir to the project cities through an aqueduct system that consists of 40 miles of pipeline, two pumping plants, a chlorination station, and other appurtenant facilities. Mountain Park Dam and Tom Steed Reservoir are owned by the Bureau of Reclamation and operated by Mountain Park Master Conservancy District.
