Theodore Roosevelt Lake and Dam
Theodore Roosevelt Lake is formed by Theodore Roosevelt Dam, which was constructed in 1911 by the Bureau of Reclamation on the Salt River in Arizona as part of the Salt River Project (SRP). Roosevelt Lake is the upper-most reservoir of a four-reservoir chain in the Salt River watershed. It is located on the Tonto National Forest (TNF) in central Arizona almost entirely within Gila County, roughly 80 miles (130 km) northeast of Phoenix in the Salt River Valley.
