Report from S&T Project 1790: Water Quality Impacts in the Animas and San Juan River Basins
The San Juan Lateral (SJL) water treatment plant (WTP) will be supplied by water from the San Juan River, which is subject to fluctuating water quality during monsoon events. More information on water quality trends during monsoon events is needed to design the most effective WTP to provide customers with good water quality consistently. Results from this study will be used to design the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project SJL WTP's intake settling basin to mitigate high suspended sediment concentrations.
