S&T Project 7100: Weather Station Data

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), on behalf of Reclamation, installed four weather stations (see Figure 1 in S&T Project 7100 Final Report) at Lake Arrowhead to collect two and a half years of wind and temperature data for use in calibrating the hydrodynamic model. Weather stations were located as McKay Park, Lollipop Park, Tavern Bay, and Meadow Bay. The weather stations were monitored through December 2020 to facilitate scenario analysis in the hydrodynamic model. The weather data was reviewed for gaps that were caused by instrument failure (freezing of anemometer/wind vane in winter), battery or communications failure on the loggers, or by failure to collect data from the stations in time to avoid missed records. The irradiance, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction sensors were used as-is. The rain gauge at Lollipop Park was used as-is; however it was not heated, and as a result did not record precipitation for several snow and ice storms.
