Elephant Butte Reservoir Evaporation Study and Data from IAS-2020-0017
We utilize the WRF model coupled to a 1-D energy-balance lake model, WRF-Lake, to simulate evaporation across Elephant Butte Reservoir. Through our modeling efforts, we calibrate WRF-Lake and develop reservoir-average estimates of evaporation between February 1994 through January 1996.
