Lake Roosevelt Cooperative Management Agreement Data
Data related to the Lake Roosevelt Cooperative Management Agreement. The purpose of the Lake Roosevelt Cooperative Management Agreement, dated April 1990 and also referred to as the "Five-Party Agreement," is to coordinate the management of the Lake Roosevelt Management Area (LRMA), and to plan and develop facilities and activities on Lake Roosevelt and its freeboard lands. The parties to the agreement are the Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Colville Confederated Tribes, and the Spokane Tribe. Management of the LRMA is subject to the right of the Bureau of Reclamation to accomplish the purposes of the Columbia Basin Project. Land areas under the Lake Roosevelt Cooperative Management Agreement are managed by the Spokane Tribe, Colville Confederated Tribes, Bureau of Reclamation, and National Park Service. These management areas are located around Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake, also referred to as Lake Roosevelt, in northeastern Washington state.

Location Description
The Lake Roosevelt Management Area (LRMA) includes the areas covered by the Lake Roosevelt Cooperative Management Agreement, including the portions managed by the Spokane Tribe, Colville Confederated Tribes, Bureau of Reclamation, and National Park Service. As defined by the Lake Roosevelt Cooperative Management Agreement, the LRMA includes Grand Coulee Dam and its appurtenances on Lake Roosevelt, the surface area of Lake Roosevelt up to elevation 1290 mean sea level (msl) and all freeboard lands surrounding Lake Roosevelt above elevation 1290 msl owned by or used by the United States pursuant to any agreement for purposes of the Columbia Basin Project. The purpose of the Lake Roosevelt Cooperative Management Agreement, dated April 1990 and also referred to as the "Five-Party Agreement," is to coordinate the management of the LRMA and to plan and develop facilities and activities on Lake Roosevelt and its freeboard lands. The parties to the agreement are the Bureau of Reclamation, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Colville Confederated Tribes, and the Spokane Tribe. Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake, also referred to as Lake Roosevelt, is in northeastern Washington state, USA. The lake was created by water impounded along the Columbia River, upstream from Grand Coulee Dam which was built in the 1930s by the Bureau of Reclamation. Water from the Columbia River is taken from Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake and delivered to agricultural areas in the Columbia Basin Project in central Washington.
