S&T Project 19290 Model Data: Vegetation Files

A two-dimensional (2D) vegetation model study analyzed the expected vegetation lifecycle and dynamics in response to the BDA Pilot Realignment Project (see accompanying report). A vegetation module within the SRH-2D hydrodynamic model simulates changes to the vegetation distribution in the project area through germination, establishment, and mortality. We analyzed the response of four species to three annual hydrographs that represent wet, average, and dry conditions. In this folder are the model simulation files which includes all content necessary to reproduce the results of the study. Within subfolder “VEG_LIFECYCLE” are model simulation files corresponding to unsteady hydraulic modeling, for three different hydrographs, in order to predict the germination, establishment, and mortality of vegetation species of interest. In each simulation case folder, the model executable is provided along with the model setup files including both the hydraulic and vegetation parameters. Users and interested parties should reference the accompanying report for further information on how the model and simulation cases were developed and analyzed.
