Report from S&T Project 19264: Exploring the use of temperature to understand recent drought and project future conditions in the Colorado River Basin
BOR’s midterm projections of Colorado River Basin reservoir operations are based on data that do not account for recent warming. This study combined temperature predictions and statistical modeling to generate experimental forecasts that showed moderate skill improvements.
